Scarab

Scarab has multiple meanings in ancient Egyptian culture: it represents the cycle and continuity of life, including the process of birth, death and regeneration. It is regarded as the embodiment or symbol of the sun, and its action of rolling dung balls coincides with the rise and fall of the sun. It represents the spirit of persistence, fearlessness, courage and hard work, and is considered as the power to bring light and hope. From another point of view, it is also interpreted as a theme about death and regeneration, because scarab is an animal that feeds on carrion, but its eggs and larvae can hatch and grow in meat, which reflects the characteristics of new life bred from old life.
